:TO: US EPA CHIEF ENFORCEMENT, David Uhlmann and CDC/ATSDR, Assistant Director, Dr. Chris Reh Subject: Crucial evidence offsite destroyed? - GONE as of 2004: Monitoring Well 26 i (located west/NW across street from landfill, in a densely populated residential neighborhood , and the 1, 4 Dioxane Plume.
*** These PRP lab- generated plutonium results attached below, were in fact declared "valid" by US EPA NAREL , collected March and May of 2001 rounds... Yet, this monitoring well then was sealed up, along with some 32 other test wells - , despite the attached letter sent, major newspaper editorials ( to follow this email) questioning the sealing ( i.e, and destruction of potential criminal evidence related to illegal disposal of nuclear wastes..)
From the very scant EPA information currently being allowed out to the public domain, it appears that indeed, the 1, 4 Dioxane plume, being studied by PRPs for EPA, happens to be in this same vicinity of test well MW26 i...Thus, perhaps you can appreciate the outrage, not only about that well being sealed back in 2004,, preventing any future examination at that particular depth and direction, but why citizens are questioning precisely why EPA, CDC/ATSDR, et al are deferring to the Ohio Dept. of Health and Stark health dept. under the following circumstances ( baggage?): Specifically citizens would like to know: Why are the health depts."in the driver seat" on the 1, 4 Dioxane, with our Dioxane victims even being threatened legally, to force them to seal up their wells, pull up their pumps, disconnect from their homes, etc. etc, specifically given what the polluters' attorney had quizzed former landfill owner, Charles Kittinger, during the depositions on the Army disposal of Plutonium at IEL, quzzing Kittinger about the role Stark health dept.'s Dopler may have played ? Most interestingly, when citizens then contacted contacted a former local former County official believed to be very much"in the know " , who was friends of Mr. Doplers/Stark H.D.) ...They vehemently countered :" Don't blame Dopler/ Stark Health Dept., saying "a directive" had been issued to the Stark H.D. from Ohio Department of Health, to allow the additional materials at IEL!" .
Note: Also see May, 2001 test wells MW 23 s, MW 1 etc., Pu findings. These test wells remain, to our knowledge, open and available for proper Pu testing : I.e, according to DOE's Sill/RESL lab, preserved immediately, adequate volumes collected, proper Low Flow conducted prior to prevent stagnant water samples that can allow loss of evidence; and the lab using proper Pu analysis used at RESL. and NOT EPA's Finished Drinking Water 900 methods, never meant for man-mades, and def. not for Pu...., with a min. of 16 hours counted, vs the 2 hours employed by the PRP's lab in 2000/01, that reportedly, drove up the "uncertainty levels" ( conveniently !)...
