Philippines U.S. Air Force, Navy sued By RHODINA J. VILLANUEVA TODAY ReporterA coalition of Filipino and American environmental organizations has filed charges at the United States Federal District Court against the US Air Force and Navy to press for the clean-up of toxic and hazardous waste abandoned at former American military bases in the country.
Lawyer Cora Fabros of the People’s Task Force for Bases Cleanup, said the suit was filed on behalf of the 36 residents of the communities around the former US military bases Clark Air Field and Subic Bay Naval base.
