Selma subdivision plan draws objection from military By David DeKunder San Antonio Express (TX) April 17, 2012A proposed subdivision addition in Selma is meeting opposition from military officials and nearby residents.
Pulte Homes, developers of The Trails of Kensington Ranch subdivision, want to expand the subdivision to add 400-plus new homes. The new addition, The Trails of Kensington Ranch II, is planned for 95 acres between the current Kensington Ranch subdivision and the Live Oak Hills subdivision off FM 1518.
A military official and several residents April 12 voiced their concerns over the proposed subdivision addition to the Selma City Council.
Col. Robert Bridgford, Joint Base San Antonio deputy commander, said he is concerned about the proposed density of the subdivision addition because it falls within Randolph Air Force Base's potential accident zone.
