Lejeune water crusader: This is a start Jerry Allegood Raleigh News & Observer June 13, 2007After working for years to bring attention to Camp Lejeune's water contamination, Terry Dyer of Wilmington was elated Tuesday by a congressional review. But Dyer, who helped form an advocacy group for people who think they were sickened by the water, said the work is far from over. "I feel like this is just the beginning," she said in a telephone interview from Washington. "We're starting all over again" to educate people about problems, she said. The government disclosed results from a new study Tuesday, the same day lawmakers listened to emotional testimony from families about cancers and other illnesses they blame on tainted tap water at the base. ...
