[CPEO-MEF] SERDP Annual Core Solicitation for FY 2004

within the Department of Defense.]


The SERDP annual Core Solicitation for FY 2004 was released on November 13, 
2002.  Detailed instructions and the Statements of Need for both federal 
and non-federal proposers are available on the web site:

CORE SOLICITATION: The Core solicitation provides funding in various 
amounts for multi-year projects. This solicitation is released in 
mid-November each year.  For the Core Solicitation, pre-proposals from the 
non-federal sector are due January 9, 2003.  Federal proposals are due 
March 6, 2003, via the appropriate Executive Working Group (EWG) member.

SEED SOLICITATION: The SERDP Exploratory Development program, or SEED 
program, is designed to provide initial funding for high-risk, high payoff 
projects.  Funding is limited to a maximum of $100,000 for one year. There 
are no separate SEED Solicitations planned for the FY 2004 program.
