Chamberlain dust stirs up Waterloo neighbors By TIM JAMISON Waterloo Cedar Falls Courier (IA) October 21, 2010WATERLOO, Iowa --- The ongoing demolition of the Chamberlain Manufacturing plant is generating complaints from surrounding homeowners. "There's a lot of dust at that site that's not being controlled at all," Bill Shindley told Waterloo City Council members Monday. Councilman Quentin Hart, who represents the area around the plant at East Fourth and Esther streets, said he has received calls from other concerned residents about dust blowing from the site and into the surrounding neighborhood. A meeting has been set up today to discuss the matter with the general contractor, Active Thermal Concepts, of Hiawatha. "We want to make sure there's the least amount of inconvenience to the residents," Hart said. ...
