The New Jersey Commerce Commission has agreed to pay more than $7 million to
help remediate brownfields in Fort Lee and Ridgefield Park, the agency said
Wednesday.

The commission board voted to fund the projects under the Brownfields
Redevelopment Incentive Program, which reimburses developers for up to 75
percent of their remediation expenses.

Kevin Drennan, the commission's executive director, said the cleanup funding
awards reflect Governor Corzine's economic development priorities.
