Subject: [CPEO-BIF] FW: Montgomery, AL TCE plume

From: Hamrick, Kathleen [mailto:Khamrick@PIRNIE.COM]

In response to the piece in yesterday's Montgomery Advertiser, this Editorial
came out today. The author of the original article did not meet with members
of ALDOT. The author of the editorial did meet with them and presents a much
more realistic view of the project.

Editorial
Plume proposal protects public

It is refreshing when a governmental agency accepts responsibility for a
problem and works openly and aggressively to deal with it. That is what the
Alabama Department of Transportation appears to have done with the Coliseum
Boulevard Plume, an area of contaminated groundwater in north Montgomery. And
the department appears to be taking that same approach with new developments
involving the plume.
