BURLINGTON, N.C. — The former Tarheel Army Missile Plant in Burlington has been a source of worry for years. 

The biggest concern? Contaminated soil and water.

On Wednesday, the United States Army held a public meeting to update the community on cleanup efforts at the former missile plant. After the meeting, Alamance County Commission Vice Chair Steve Carter spoke with WFMY News 2 about the topics that were discussed.
