Saint-Gobain is sued in Vermont over PFOA contamination Associated Press May 10. 2016 RUTLAND, Vt. - A collective of Bennington County residents has filed a class-action lawsuit against the company that Vermont officials have blamed for PFOA contamination in their drinking water. The suit filed Friday in U.S. District Court in Rutland accuses Saint-Gobain Performance Plastics of negligence in the handling and disposal of the suspected carcinogen perflurooctanoic acid, according to a report by The Burlington Free Press.
