Second, Dr. Jennifer Field from Oregon State University will talk about the occurrence of a class of emerging contaminants called PFAS (per- and polyfluoroalkyl substances) in groundwater at military installations in the United States. Finally, Dr. Patrick Evans from CDM Smith will discuss the results of a recently funded ESTCP project on the treatment of 1,4-dioxane using sustained slow release chemical oxidant cylinders.
