Wednesday Meeting Will Focus On Remaining Contamination At Westhampton Airport By Alexa Gorman Southampton Press (NY) March 2, 2015 Representatives of the State Department of Environmental Conservation will hold a public hearing on the evening of Wednesday, March 4, to discuss their plans to remove remaining contamination at the site of a former dog kennel at Francis S. Gabreski Airport in Westhampton. Soil samples from the site, located on the eastern edge of the airport that sits off Old Riverhead Road, showed high levels of polychlorinated biphenyl, commonly known as PCBs.
