Please join SERDP and ESTCP on Thursday, February 5 for two presentations on the use of acoustic methods for the detection and classification of underwater munitions. First, Dr. Joseph Bucaro (EXCET, Inc. and the Naval Research Laboratory) will discuss the use of sonars to search for, detect and classify unexploded ordnance (UXO) in underwater environments. He will be followed by Dr. Kevin Williams (University of Washington) who will provide a perspective on ongoing efforts associated with low frequency acoustic scattering of underwater UXO and its use in classification.
