Mountain Creek Lake fish OK to keep but not to eat, Texas health officials say

Dallas Morning News (TX)
October 2, 2010

Texas health officials now say it's all right to keep fish caught from Mountain Creek Lake. Just don't eat them.

The latest tests show elevated levels of cancer-causing PCBs and dioxin in fish from the western Dallas County reservoir, said Christine Mann, a spokeswoman for the Texas Department of State Health Services.

Decades of operation by the now-closed Dallas Naval Air Station, on Mountain Creek Lake's northwestern shore, led to groundwater pollution.
