Reps. Solis, Green Seek Documents on Regulation of Perchlorate;

Request Comes Amid Reports of Interference in Regulatory Process
	

	

Washington, D.C. -  Today, Congresswoman Hilda L. Solis (CA-32), author 
of H.R. 1747, the Safe Drinking Water for Healthy Communities Act, sent 
the following letter to EPA Administrator Stephen Johnson seeking 
documents related to the regulation of perchlorate. This letter comes 
amid reports that the White House and the Pentagon have heavily 
pressured the EPA to make a preliminary determination not to regulate 
perchlorate and interfered in the regulatory process by extensively 
editing the EPA's preliminary regulatory determination.
