Guard has issues with revised Camp Blanding ordinance But area residents thank county officials for hearing their views By BETH REESE CRAVEY My Clay Sun/Florida Times-Union August 28, 2008A compromise Clay County ordinance to protect Camp Blanding from incompatible land uses has cleared one hurdle - the County Commission - and now must pass muster with the state Department of Community Affairs.

Neighbors said they were satisfied with the final version of the ordinance, which did not include a controversial 3-mile buffer zone around the camp that they viewed as a violation of their property rights.
