Army to search Gap woods for old shells

The Army is once again conducting an environmental study near the borders of Fort Indiantown Gap.

But, unlike recent studies, this one has nothing to do with any planned firing ranges or weapons systems.

This study is looking for rounds that date as far back as World War II.

The study is part of the Military Munitions Response Program and is being conducted by the U.S. Army Environmental Command.
