The group charged with redeveloping 155 surplus acres of Naval Station Ingleside when the Navy leaves approved a contract Monday with a consulting firm to determine what to do with the land.

Members of the Local Redevelopment Authority approved a $204,000 contract with New Hampshire-based RKG Associates, Inc. with an amendment stating the eight-month agreement was fixed and no more than 15 percent for a single line item would be allocated, said group chairwoman and Ingleside Mayor Stella Herrmann.

The others were Houston-based KBR Inc., Maryland-based First Industrial Realty Trust, Illinois-based Jones Lang and Pennsylvania-based International Energy and Environment Development Corp.
