Depot agency to spend $30K on tenant dealReuse authority to hire consultant to put together a deal with an unannounced prospect.
By JOHN NORTON THE PUEBLO CHIEFTAIN (CO) May 30, 2008The local agency that subleases a portion of the Pueblo Chemical Depot to private tenants voted Thursday to authorize spending up to $30,000 to put together a deal that could attract a major user to the base.
Marv Stein, chairman of the Pueblo Depot Authority Reuse Authority, briefed the group on the prospect in a closed-door executive session and declined to name the prospect afterward. He said that the money would be used to hire a consultant that would put the deal together.
The reuse authority also approved a new sublease with AAI Acquisition, the Russian firm that has bought the assets of the bankrupt Adam Aircraft, to continue renting six igloos. Adam Aircraft shut down its manufacturing operations at the nearby Airport Industrial Park but its components are still stored at the chemical depot.
