Crisostimo concerned about military training on Tinian

SENATOR Luis P. Crisostimo is hoping that the U.S. military will 
"minimize their destruction" of Tinian where future military training 
may be conducted.

Sen. Henry H. San Nicolas, for his part, asked the Governor's Military 
Task Force details about the plan by the U.S. military to conduct 
exercises on Tinian as indicated earlier by a top U.S. military official 
in the Pacific.

Early this month, Marine Corps Bases Pacific MCI MidPac Director Col 
Clyde T. Burton  said that U.S. Marines is considering Tinian as a 
possible training ground for its artillery units once the 8,000 of its 
troops from Okinawa will be relocated to Guam.
