More wells to be tested near Badger|
By Donna Stehling Baraboo News Republic (WI) June 22, 2006
The Army has authorized testing residential wells in all homes south of the Badger Army Ammunition Plant, Installation Director Joan Kenney announced at a Thursday meeting. Sixty-seven private wells from Gruber's Grove, Dam Heights Road and the Windings will be tested.
Kenney said this testing has been authorized because the underground plume of groundwater contaminants is not moving as predicted by the model. Samples will be taken in August and it takes at least three months to process the analysis.
