Subject: [CPEO-MEF] perchlorate and nitrates at Arizona site
Cleanup proceeds as planned

The Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) is recommending the no-action
alternative for the remaining cleanup of groundwater and soils located
just south of the Apache Nitrogen Products, Inc., (ANPI) a fertilizer
plant in St. David.

project manager, said Apache Nitrogen has been working to clean up
environmental problems south of the facility since 1994, when ANPI was
placed on the national watch list known as Superfund.
