Town picks team with extensive experience in the realignment and closure
of military bases.

BRUNSWICK - The town has chosen RKG Associates Inc., a Durham,
N.H.-based company, to lead the development of a re-use plan for
Brunswick Naval Air Station, a precaution town officials believe they
must take if the base is closed or realigned this year by the federal government.

Assistant Town Manager Patricia Harrington, who is handling issues
related to the Base Realignment and Closure Commission process, said the
RKG Associates-led team was chosen because of the skills of its
personnel and the fact that the firm has been heavily involved in
projects at other New England bases.

"They've done this before, and they have experience in this region,"
Harrington said on Monday. "They have a very strong team."
