Marines say protection of species hurts combat training

From battle lines drawn in the sands of San Diego County, the Marine Corps' war over the Western snowy plover has now moved to the halls of Congress.

This time, the Marines hope to win.

The military  especially now that there's a war on  says environmental protections stand in the way of training 40,000 Marines to fight.
