Subject: [CPEO-MEF] National Guard ranges

Does anyone know how many Army impact ranges on closing bases have
simply been transferred to the National Guard for use as impact ranges.
It saves on remediation cost, but - as the Camp Shelby incident shows -
it may continue or even increase the risk of a serious incident.

I believe Ft. Hunter-Liggett (California) and Ft. Pickett (Virginia) are
among those facilities.
