Another news flash. As of Friday, the House and Senate had not concluded
the conference on H.R. 889 which make rescissions and supplemental
appropriations for the Department of Defense (and cuts defense cleanup
funding). The conference has been extremely difficult with the House 
Democrats and Senate side demanding that the bill be budget-neutral. 
Rumor has it that the conference has not begun to work through the 
nitty-gritty budget numbers. However, the conference is due to continue 
on Monday. The Pentagon has threatened that if money isn't forthcoming 
by April 7, some training and operations will have to be shut down.
