To those millions of you to whom I inadvertently flamed, following receipt
of 440,000 kilobytes of garbage in my mailbox:

As I learned from Aimee Houghton in a thoroughly civilized phone call, a
message sent to CPRO is reposted by CPRO to the CPRO board and mail list.
 Thus, an automatically addressed reply is also posted to the entire board
and mail list.

Not to just the original sender, or (as I thought) to Aimee alone.

Arggggggh.

End remedial investigation. Begin remedial action.

Many of you got a laugh (thank you, Bill Skubi, for the return laugh and
editorial award). Some of you were annoyed or offended, and to those I
appologize. Further contamination of your mailboxes was not the intent.

Hope this cleanup returns the situation to background levels. Or at least
stops the spread.
