Navy picks agent to market course

ORLANDO - The Navy's Base Realignment and Closure office in San Diego has hired the Orlando division of Colliers Arnold real estate services as the exclusive marketer of the Boggy Creek Golf Club property that the Navy owns on the western fringe of the Orlando International Airport.

Jill Rose, a real-estate broker with Colliers, said that although the Orange County Property Appraiser's Office estimates the market value of the 178 acres as $17.8 million, she thinks that's too high.

The problem is that the course was built atop a military landfill at the old McCoy Air Force Base.
