Topsham LRA finalizes consultant requirements

TOPSHAM - The Topsham Local Redevelopment Authority spent most of its monthly meeting Wednesday talking about the role consultants will play as the committee plans for redevelopment of the Navy Annex.

The redevelopment efforts continue in both Brunswick and Topsham since the Department of Defense announced Brunswick Naval Air Station, including the annex in Topsham, will close by 2011.

Before hiring a consulting team, which is what Topsham LRA director Rich Roedner said he expects will happen, the committee must issue a request for proposals. That proposal request document was under review Wednesday.
