Saving The Sub Base: What Connecticut Can Learn

It's hard to imagine Groton without the submarine base.

In 1995 it was even harder to imagine Plattsburgh, N.Y., without its Air 
Force base.

At the last minute, though, after all the hearings, the Base Realignment 
and Closure Commission put Plattsburgh on its closure list.

NBC 30's Doug Greene traveled to upstate New York for advice for 
Connecticut.

The Plattsburgh Air Force Base base went from strategic air command 
base, to abandoned airstrip along Lake Champlain.
