[CPEO-BIF] Vapor Intrusion scoring rule takes effect

The EPA rule adding a subsurface intrusion component (SsI), including vapor intrusion, to the Hazard Ranking Score for adding sites to the “Superfund" National Priorities List took effect today. It was deferred twice, the latest time until today. Since no action is being taken today, it is now the “law of the land.” To view the rule, go to

I am attaching a letter sent by community and environmental activists late last week urging that the deferral be lifted.
