COHOES - There are a few ideas being discussed for the revitalization of the Spindle City through the stateâs Brownfield Opportunity Area Program.

One of the suggestions would include decreasing the density of housing on a block of Congress, Main, and Hart streets to create an urban park that would connect that up-and-coming area of the city with downtown. Cohoe - Plans to redevelop part of downtown along with brownfield sites in the 787 corridor will be discussed at a public meeting Wednesday.

The public presentation of the results of the $250,000 study comes before the final presentation to the Common Council in September.

"We've a very good product. We got a lot more out of this for our money," said Ed Tremblay, the city director of community and economic development.
