DEC outlines plan to clean IBM burn pit

ENDWELL - Cleanup at the 57-acre former IBM chemical burn pit on Robinson Hill Road is expected to begin by spring, according to the Department of Environmental Conservation.

More than 30 people gathered Tuesday night in Endwell United Methodist Church to hear DEC representative Jon Greco outline a plan to clean the site of industrial contaminants.
"Any home that was nearby that we thought there was a concern, we already sampled and found it’s not a problem," said Greco, project manager.
