BF starts riverside project By HOWARD WEISS-TISMAN Brattleboro Reformer (VT) October 15, 2010BELLOWS FALLS -- The Bellows Falls Historical Society is moving ahead with its plan to develop a park and trail system just outside the village along the Connecticut River. Historical society treasurer Stewart Read told the village trustees Tuesday that after raising the necessary money, and completing environmental tests, the project was about to move forward. Stewart said the society was "on the verge of realizing its vision for converting the old Mill Street Industrial Brownfield area into the historic riverfront park and trail system." Phase one of the project includes developing an access road and sidewalks, along with a multipurpose field, which Stewart said will begin next week. ...
