Former mayor to help with Chrysler cleanup

Former Kenosha Mayor John Antaramian is is back at a familiar task, seeking to dig the city out of a brownfield mess.

The City Council late Monday approved a 12-month, $12,000 contract with Antaramian for consulting services tied to environmental cleanup of the soon-to-be-former Chrysler Engine Plant property.

The 109-acre property at 5555 30th Ave. will likely become vacant by the end of this year, when Chrysler has stated it will close the engine plant.
