Syracuse Center of Excellence headquarters building is dedicated

Syracuse, NY -- The Syracuse Center of Excellence in Environmental and 
Energy Systems dedicated its modern, angular and energy-efficient 
headquarters building today.

Academics, researchers and politicians hailed it as the driver of 
collaboration, innovation and job creation in so-called cleantech industry.

Building on an industrial brownfield proved more challenging -- and 
expensive -- than anyone imagined. Construction was delayed until 
asbestos, oil and other contaminants could be cleaned up.
