Join us in New Orleans at Brownfields 2009 at our annual Invitational Environmental Justice Luncheon. This year the luncheon is Tuesday, November 17, 2009 and we are celebrating the national Community Revitalization Alliance and our brownfields conference activities.

Luncheon speakers are leaders in the federal governmental sector. Confirmed speakers include the Assistant Administrator for the Office of Solid Waste and Emergency Response, Mathy Stanislaus; Assistant Administrator for the Office of Enforcement and Compliance Assurance Cynthia Giles; and David Lloyd, Director, US EPA Office of Brownfields and Land Revitalization.

We are co-hosting other high profile events at the conference that are open to all.

EJ and the Green Economy Marketplace Session, Wedneday, November 18, 2009, 9:15am-10:30am, Room 345, Ernest K. Morial Convention Center. Join us as we re-cap the first annual Capitol Hill Summit on Sustainable Communities, Environmental Justice and the New Economy which was convened in Washington, DC October 15-16, 2009. We’ll share next steps proceeding from this first ever community sector led federal policy conference on these issues which featured key organizations making policy in the nation’s capitol, Congressional leaders, mayors, federal Agency officials and US EPA Administrator Lisa P. Jackson.

Confirmed presenters include Deeohn Ferris, President, Sustainable Community Development Group; Honorable Eugene Grant, Seat Pleasant, MD; Honorable James Young, Philadelphia, MS; and Honorable Brenda Lawrence, Southfield, MI.
