JOSEPH - Developers laying the groundwork for the $100 million Harbor Isle Resort on St. Joseph's Marina Island are asking the city for tax credits worth $1.2 million to cover the cost of cleaning up arsenic contamination and replacing a sea wall. The City Commission on Monday set an Oct. 26 date for a public hearing over the developers' proposal. The hearing will take place during the regular City Commission meeting. ....In 1999, an unspecified amount of arsenic contamination was found in the soil beneath what is now Harbor Isle Resort's property and in the sand at the bottom of the St. Joseph River northeast of the property, Hodgson said. ....
