Foster Wheeler cleanup progressing EPA working with Mountain Top group to keep homeowners informed of project. By Rory Sweeney Wilkes-Barre Times Leader (PA) July 24, 2009FAIRVIEW TWP. - Though noticeable cleanup of the contaminated Foster Wheeler Energy Corp. site near Church Road is still years off, the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency is working now to keep residents informed on the Superfund project’s status.
Meeting with the neighborhood's promotional group, Mountain Top on the Move, EPA project manager John Epps invited members to join a community advocacy roundtable that the agency is organizing to voice the community’s opinion on the project.
The roundtable has had several meetings so far, Epps said. Once the group's structure is finalized, he said, it would be tasked with reviewing and offering opinions on project reports and data.
