ZBA ruling on Bird parcels expected

HOLLISTON -- The attorney for the Zoning Board of Appeals is expected to
report by June 3 on questions raised about the ownership and control of
land parcels that make up the Bird property on Prentice Street, where a
developer plans to build homes, Town Planner Karen Sherman said Friday. 

According to a group opposing the project, the Holliston Hopkinton
Action Committee, no records exist that prove the Bird property owners
can claim title to two small, adjacent parcels where plans call for a
leaching field and for an emergency access road. 

The group has also accused the developer -- J. Michael Norton, owner of
Green View Realty -- of "apparent secrecy" in disclosing his connection
to the trusts that own the property and why he as the developer signed
the 40B application as the owner.
