Let me identify myself as I apologize for sending a personal message to
everyone two minutes ago. I am currently director of the NIEHS Worker
Training Program, which is authorized by Superfund Section 126 and gives
grants to unions and universities for safety and health training in
emergency response, waste cleanup, etc. We have a Minority Worker
Training Program which is a component of the Brownfields initiative and
a DOE program which has established training at all the major nuclear
weapons cleanup facilities. As part of the Public Health Service and
NIH, our mission is to inject a public health viewpoint into
environmental restoration.
